Family Tu B’Shvat Celebration Feb. 8

Family Tu B’Shvat Celebration
Feb. 8, 9:30 – noon

Planting a tree has represented hope since ancient times. In honor of Tu B’Shvat (The New Year of Trees), our CBS family will travel by carpool to Carneros to restore land, plant trees and other foliage that will protect & enhance the resources in Napa County. Phil Blake, for the Napa County Natural Resources Conservation Services, will lead the project. We will be planting CA native plants including willow, coyote bush, CA buckeye, live oak and valley oak at a vineyard/creekside site owned by the Napa Resource Conservation District.

Wear clothes for gardening!!! If the weather is nice, you can bring a picnic to eat after the program concludes. Questions, email Beth Kellman at bethkellman@gmail.com. If parents cannot come, please send your kids and make arrangements for another family to “adopt them” for the day.

If you can, please bring:

Shovels
Maddox pick
Wear appropriate clothes
Snack/water/sunscreen
